Developing North East Leadership
Finding and keeping the right non executive director can be a challenge and there has never been more demand for non executive positions. This is especially the case within the north east where candidates have traditionally come from a certain type of background. We recognise that we are not making best use of the talent and experience that we have in the region.
However it is often difficult for those without experience to overcome this barrier and be appointed as a non executive director for the first time.
We are currently developing a programme aimed at creating a talent bank so that we can find the best candidates and support them to take the next step and become an active Non Executive Director.
