Sector Skills Needs

We are working with Sector Skills organisations and providers, along with specialist sector bodies, Business Link North East, the Learning and Skills
Council (LSC), and through the Strategic Account Management programme, to support growth and generate significant participation and productivity
gains over the medium to long term in strategically important sectors.

To achieve this, we are driving the demand in both employer and individual for higher level skills. We will work alongside learning providers to build capacity and capability to meet regional skills needs, supporting the establishment of National Skills Academies if aligned to regional priorities.
