Research and Evaluation reports
To help formulate and measure progress on the Regional Economic Strategy (RES) and its own Corporate Plan, One NorthEast has a responsibility to undertake research activities to build the regional evidence base, providing reports on factors relating to or affecting sustainable economic development. These give a much stronger focus for prioritising and targeting areas for maximum return on investment.
Since inception in 1999, the Regional Development Agency has commissioned a wide range of research and evaluation to provide the evidence base for each successive RES. Reports for the period 2004 - 2006 are set out below in reverse chronological order. If you know the title or subject of the report you are looking for, please use the search facility to direct you.
Further statistical information and data about the region can be sourced from the NERIP (North East Regional Information Partnership) website. This Includes the 'State of the Region 2006' report, which incorporates the section on Economics which acts as the Technical Annex to the 2005 Regional Economic Strategy 'Leading the Way'. NERIP is the Regional Observatory for the North East of England which co-ordinates access to shared data and intelligence across the region's public, private and voluntary sector organisations.
Please note that these reports will be made available via the IGNITE website in due course. IGNITE is the Regional Centre of Excellence for Sustainable Communities for North East England.
