Handling your project
This section of the website explains the way requests for project funding are processed by us. Our project handling framework also sets out the criteria for awarding funding, within the context of the Regional Economic Strategy and our Corporate Plan.
Setting the Context
We are concentrating on high-impact projects that will deliver maximum economic benefit for the region. Priorities have been set out in two key documents.
The Regional Economic Strategy outlines the region’s priorities for economic development.
Our Corporate Plan for 2005-08 explains how we will work with our partners to achieve the aims of the Strategy, through 10 key programmes. Within these programmes are 30 key activities that will determine the way we will go about this. Further information can be found on this website under the sections of Business, People and Place by using the navigation buttons on the left hand side of this page.
We will deliver some of this activity regionally, while other things will be done through our Sub-Regional Partnerships. Some activities will involve working across the whole of the North in partnership with Yorkshire Forward and the North West Development Agency, through the Northern Way Growth Strategy.
