Maggie Pavlou
Maggie Pavlou hails from the region and is currently based in Chester-le-Street, Co Durham. She was appointed to the NETA Board in 2004 and has extensive experience within the tourism and business arenas.
Maggie was the first ever female President of the North East Chamber of Commerce.
Renowned for her practical approach to business and HR, Maggie set up and runs Belver North, a niche business which provides HR Director level support and business and enterprise coaching to CEOs, MDs and executive teams of businesses based primarily within the region.
She has recently rejoined Parkdean as their HR Director and also acts as the Delivery Director for the LEO programme.
Some of her additional non executive board roles include; Newcastle Gateshead Initiative, NECC, Northern Lights Film Festival, and the Princes Trust.
Prior to setting up Belver North, Maggie worked with some of the region’s fastest growing businesses including Parkdean, Leighton, and the NRG Group. She was Head of Personnel at Vaux Breweries and all of her earlier operational career was in the Holiday & Leisure Divisions of the Rank Organisation.
