Geoff Hodgson (Chair)

Geoff Hodgson is the Managing Director of Northumbria Taverns.  He was previously Chief Executive of Federation Brewery, a North East and national company that has a turnover of £56 million and employs 340 full time staff; and prior to that, the Sales and Marketing Director for the Newcastle Breweries, a subsidiary of Scottish and Newcastle PLC.

Between 1990 and 1994, he held marketing positions for a London based pub retailing business, and Coca-Cola International. He is a council member of the Brewers and Licensed Retailers Association and a Trustee of Yorkshire / North East Brewers Association. Geoff also chairs the North East and Yorkshire Beer & Pubs Association.

Other experience includes, Chair of the North East Princes Trust Volunteers Employers Group and a committee member for fund raising for a local children's hospice; non-executive Director of Universal Building Society and a One NorthEast Board Member. He has recently been appointed a council member of the North East CBI.

Geoff Hodgson holds no other public appointments and is not involved in political activity.
