The largest Rural Event in North Northumberland and one of the finest livestock showcases in the North; visitors can see some of the most popular breeds of native sheep and cattle.

It is a great family day out with fun activities and displays for everyone including the dog! 

The huge variety of entertainment includes main ring performances, Fun Fair, Children's Farm, special education area and 200 trade stands.

The Countryside Marquee focuses on education and traditional rural skills. 

The Food Marquee showcases culinary delights from across the region. 

The Horticultural & Industrial Marquee is a focal point with wonderful displays, from fruit to fruit cakes, painting to potatoes and flowers and furnishings. 

The Craft Marquee offers chance to indulge in a spot of retail therapy with everything from equine and pet products, clothing and footwear, handicrafts and giftware.

The 2010 Main Ring Attractions are:

• The Royal Signals White Helmets Motorcycle Display Team
• The Red Devils Parachute Team
• City of Newcastle Pipe Band
• Horseball  - a fast paced equestrian game based on baseball and rugby
