Middlehaven, Middlesbrough
Following on from Allsops imaginative master plan for this key town centre regeneration site, significant progress can be reported. The programme of strategic acquisitions & demolitions to secure the site is ongoing & the first phases of development have commenced. Manhatten Gate, Terrace Hill Developments office scheme is compete & let, a second phase to commence shortly. Work is progressing well on the new Middlesbrough College building @ Middlehaven which is on target to be operational for the commencement of the 2008/09 academic year.
Bio Regional Quintain have been appointed preferred development partner & have secured planning consent for the first two residential ‘sugar cubes’ highlighted in the masterplan. These commenced on site in October 2007.
