The work of One North East is led by a team of six directors to provide a focus for:

• Realising the aims of the Regional Economic Strategy
• Giving a strategic direction to development projects throughout the region
• Communicating the achievements of the work carried out with regional partners
• Promoting the region nationally and internationally
• Fostering innovation through scientific and technological development and promotion
