The amounts the Fund can invest range from £150,000 to £2m. The Bridges Fund can act as sole or lead investor but will syndicate where appropriate.
In which area is the fund available?
The Fund will invest in the top quartile of deprived wards as measured by the Index of Multiple Deprivation. The target wards broadly fall into distinct areas in England: the South West, parts of London, East and West Midlands, Yorkshire, the North West and the North East. To find out whether an enterprise is eligible, a postcode search facility is provided on the Bridges website.
Who can apply?
SMEs connected with the local economy by employment, market or supply chain. Bridges Community Ventures is a generalist venture capital fund which seeks high-growth opportunities which will include start-ups, early stage expansion finance, MBOs or MBIs.
